Walker Police Office Trevor Slot 
Walker Police Officer Trevor Slot, 41, was killed in the line of duty, when he was hit by a vehicle driven by two bank robbery suspects on Thursday, October 13, 2011.

Officer Slot's niece is a cheerleader in the Sparta rocket program, and his sister-in-law is a coach in the Sparta cheer program. He leaves behind a wife and 2 daughters ages 8 and 6. He was an active youth sports coach at Northview, and coached a t-ball team this past summer.

A fund to support his daughters is being setup at the Lake Michigan Credit Union. Donations can be made at any Lake Michigan Credit Union, at the Walker Police Department and at Walker City Hall.

His family is being overwhelmed with gifts of food an meals. You can also donate gift cards for local restaurants to the family as well.

You can give you donation to any Sparta Youth Football and Cheerleader coach or board member and we will make sure that your donation gets to his family.
